Happy New Year!

First off we want to say a massive thank you to all 287 of you wonderful lot who wrote in and supported our Premises Licence for 57 & 59 Beckenham Road. After a very interesting hearing with the council this has now been granted, our plans for the Three Hounds Bar & Brewery is one step closer to happening. Our next step in applying for Planning Permission, and once that gets granted we can finally start work on expanding our seating area, brewing beer onsite and bringing Clock House more of what we do best. Not only are we focusing on expanding into 59 Beckenham Road, but we are also upping our events game for 2026, with more community focused events and supporting other business and creatives. We want to make the Three Hounds the number one place to go in Beckenham in 2026 and beyond.

We are closed this week until the Thursday the 8th for a little rest and some painting and deep cleaning of the bar. However, we are kicking off with a brand new monthly event, Suds & Social, a Cask Appreciation Sunday, where Cask Ale drinkers can meet and chat and if you are a Campaign for Real Ale Member you will receive 50p off your pint of Real Ale. Our inaugural Suds & Social is this Sunday the 11th from 12pm to 9pm, so pop in and get yourself a pint of the good stuff. On Monday the 12th we have the return of Sips & Strategies, our new Monthly Chess Night. This is a social event aimed at beginners and experienced Chess Players to meet up, play a game or two and get to meet like minded people. The first LaTR:3Hounds of the year has already sold over half of the tickets available which is an amazing start. The night sees music and story telling from Milton Hide & Scurravagus. Tickets are £11 and can be found here.

We also have three amazing Tap Takeovers during January with Drop Project, Verdant Brewing and a Showcase of Scottish Breweries all taking to the Taps & Hand-Pulls. More details on what's going to be poured in next weeks newsletter.

It is also that time of the year where our local Bromley CAMRA branch look at who should be considered as the Bromley CAMRA Pub Of The Year. The selection committee has ask for CAMRA Members to fill out a form and help with the nominations for Pub and Club of the Year, which closes this Thursday the 8th. So if you believe we should be shortlisted hit the link and give us a little shoutout.

The final bit of news for this week is we are celebrating Wassail At The Three Hounds with our take on Wassail Hot Cider and throughout the month of January all Still Ciders are £5 a Pint. So if you are a Cider drinker head on down for a sip of the good stuff.
