October Events

October is nearly upon us and the events at the Three Hounds is absolutely stacked. We have plenty of beer events with an Oktoberfest at Beckenham Rugby Club, Wild Beer Showcase including hourly pours from Matts personal Wild Beer Stash, we have a seven tap Showcase of Belgian Beers that lead nicely into our Green Hop Cask Showcase, finishing off the beer related fun is Round Five of Battle of the Breweries is between Left Handed Giant & Two Flints. 

For those looking to do something other than have a beer or two. Satirev Collective are back on Wednesday 14th for their Pop-In Art Session with a Pottery Painting Class available. We also have a free comedy night with James Dowdeswell bringing his Beers Of A Clown comedy show to the downstairs seating area on Wednesday 21st. Unfortunately for those looking at buying tickets to this months LaTR:3Hounds with Non Canon 10th Anniversary Gig, this is now sold out. 

We also have our first Charity Five-Aside Tournament for Living Well Bromley on Saturday 24th. Not only are the teams raising money for this amazing local charity but we have an Online Charity Raffle with prizes from local businesses and on Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th of October, we will be donated 50p from every pint of Pendulum sold to Living Well Bromley. Our goal is to raise over £1000 through this Charity Football Tournament, if you are unable to donate that is absolutely fine. However, if you could spread the word and send people to the Online Raffle that is just as impacting. Thank you in advance to everyone who has or will be donated and to those who have shared our event with other.

This Saturday 3rd October we will be at Beckenham Rugby Club for a little Oktoberfest, with aside of Rugby for everyone to enjoy. Not only is this day already pretty good due to Rugby and Oktoberfest but for the first time in the clubs history the Mens & Womens 1stXV will be both playing one after another with the Beckenham Ladies 1XV expected to kick-off at 1pm against Bath Ladies 1XV, while the Beckenham Mens 1XV take on Brighton Mens 1XV at 3pm. The Beckenham Mens 3XV take on Old Elthamians Mens 2XV at 3pm too. So for one day, you get three games, loads of Oktoberfest Beers and Authentic German Currywurst & Bratwurst from Flavour Culture, as well as a cracking pizzas from Deeply Dough Pizza. Rounding all of this off is music from Larry McCardie after the games have finished. Did we mention this is a free to attend event?

One last little bit of news about the Beckenham RFC Oktoberfest. People that are attending this weekend will be able to buy Super Early Bird Tickets to next years Beckenham Beer Festival. This offer is exclusively only available to attendees of this weekends event at Beckenham Rugby Club and is limited to just 100 tickets. So we recommend getting in early to get the Pendulum Early Bird Special before they are all gone.

For those who love a good Lambic and Spontaneously Fermented Beer, Sunday 4th October will be our Wild Ales Showcase where we will be digging into our collection from the past couple of years  and sharing some of our favourites with everyone. The list will be live on our Untappd Sunday morning however, we have some great beers from Matts Secret Stash from his travels to Belgium.

Then we have a Belgian Beer Tap Takeover on Thursday 15th October and this will showcase seven great Belgian Beers and hopefully including a Green Hop Belgian Beer too. Then on Sunday 18th October, our Green Hop Cask Beer Showcase will be on for four days and include eight to ten Green Hop Beers to really celebrate the harvest of fresh hops in the UK. During this whole month of celebrating the harvest we will have a dedicated Oktoberfest and Festbier line on for everyone to enjoy.
