Pints & Paints with Darren Hayman

Our first Battle of the Breweries is over and out of the two fantastic breweries we had on the taps Supercute go ahead to the Battle Royale at the end of the year beating Pretty Decent by just 4 votes. Next up is Saint Monday vs State Of Kind on the 16th July, the beers are being picked and the winner needs to be picked by you. Tuesday sees Darren Hayman in the house for our first Pints & Paints Session. After painting a Lego Space Man on one of our exhibition beer mats Darren was inspired to find beer mats from the 70's & 80's and draw birds on them. Darren explains in his book birds painted on beer mats, "The choice of beer mat and bird may seem arbitrary and often is, though sometimes a connection can be made between the two. Colour theory and composition can often be a decider; for whatever reason it seems right that there should be a long-tailed tit on a Courage beer mat". Our Pints & Paints Sessions is aimed to be relaxing, fun and casual, this is for people picking up a paint brush for the first time to artists wanting to learn a different discipline. Tickets are just £22 including fees and this gets you a two hour session, a complementary drink on arrival and you get to take your art work home with you. This Saturday 4th July we will be at The Homestead Café in Beckenham Place Park for the 2026 Beer Festival in the Courtyard. There will be live music and DJ's throughout the day with beers from ourselves plus Br3wery, Drop Project, Firkin Brewery, Ignition Brewery, Orbit Beers & Three Acres. So come on down and enjoy a few beers, good music. We will be slinging our Award-Winning Pendulum, our collab with Drop Project, Stitch, a 3.5% Gluten-Free Lager from Pillars Brewery and a 4.5% Cider from Crafty Blends. Come drink with Matt and the team and have a wonderful weekend with us.

🍻 What's On Cask! 🍻

We didn't want to do this as we are big fans of Cask Ale but due to the weather and people gravitating more towards the keg lines we have seen a massive fall off in Cask Beer sales. This unfortunately means we are going down to just two Cask Beers over the Summer, we have however, installed our Summer Cask Cooler this week so ensure the Cask Beer is at a fantastic temperature once poured, if sales do pick up we will slowly go back up too four lines. However, this pretty much realise on people popping in for a pint of the good stuff, and this week we saw even are most loyal Cask drinkers go for the colder keg beers.
