We Love Cask Ale

One of our goals for 2026 is to continue our exploration of Cask Ale. Last year an amazing 64 people joined our Cask Club. What is Cask Club I hear you ask? Well, for £25 a year you get 50p of every Pint of Cask Ale you drink. Making our house cask price just £4 a pint for you. This year we aim to have over 100 Cask Club Members, so if you fancy saving a few bob on your Pints of Real Ale then pop in and have a chat with one of us lovely lot behind the bar to find out more. We also served up over 9000 pints of Cask Beer in 2025 and we think that is pretty impressive considering we are known more for our Keg Beer and Can selection.

This year of course we want to continue our work on bringing good Cask Beer to Clock House. So not only expect four great beers on cask all year round but a new monthly Mini Cask Festival, starting February 8th. Each month we will pick a Sunday, normally one that lands on Suds & Social, and have 10 Cask Beers for you to try. Expect small batch, one-off and limited edition beers for you all to enjoy, and if you were a Cask Club Member these Festivals would be a great way to earn back that £25 in discounted beers.

February also sees two Tap Takeovers for you to enjoy, and this time not in the same week. First up on the Thursday the 5th we have Elusive Brew taking over the Taps including a couple special edition versions of their award-winning Oregon Trail. Then on Thursday the 19th one of our favourite new breweries, Silent Brew Co. will be taking over the Taps.

Some of you may have seen Matt in the downstairs seating area playing Magic: The Gathering with a few mates over the past year. Now that he understands the game a little more we are starting a new monthly Magic: The Gathering night for those looking to play Casual Standard & Commander. No booking is required, just rock up on Tuesday the 17th and join us for a game or two.

Last but not least on Tuesday the 3rd of February we have an Opening Exhibition Night showing the work from the FunArtistic Group, everyone is welcome to pop along and meet the artists, sip on a beer or two and enjoy the work on the walls.
